Announcement to Parishioners from Fr. Silvichan

Dear Parishioners,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce my transfer from St. Michael’s Parish, effective July 14, 2021.

My new assignment is in the Archdiocese of Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  Replacing me will be Father Mathew Kunnel, who is currently Associate Pastor at Holy Family in St. Albert.  Moving is always difficult because we are leaving the ones we love.  Life is like this; “We meet to part and part to meet.”  As a missionary I have to be obedient to the call of God to be of service to His people.

I have had a wonderful 4 years here at St. Michael’s.  You all welcomed me and made me feel so at home and loved.  I feel that we have grown as a faith family and together we have accomplished so many things together. I am leaving with so many good memories – the events, the sacraments, the formation of different committees, our awesome fundraisers and sharing meals and family times with so many of you.

You are all very dear to me and I will miss all of you. I thank each and everyone of you for making my ministry and time in Leduc one that I will never forget.  Distance makes no difference with family and prayers. We are and will continue to be

One Family, One Faith and One God. You will remain in my prayers and I trust that you will continue to pray for me. I will not be changing my phone number so feel free to check up on me and make sure the waves haven’t swallowed me up!

With lots of love and prayers,

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Father Silvichan Dominic, CFIC
